On December 11, 2025 (9:00–10:00 PM), Ms. Huanzi led parents and volunteers through effective strategies for engaging deeply with picture books, leaving participants inspired and encouraged..
Ms. Huanzi is a picture book researcher. She introduced the Whole Book Approach (WBA) to China and initiated the 2026 U.S. tour of original Chinese picture books. She is the curator of the “789 Children’s Literature Talks” platform.
We enjoyed reading the wonderful Chinese picture book Who Let Out the Fart? together with the children.
After the story, we guided the children through a fun mini drama activity, where everyone joined the forest animals and became playful “Fart Detectives.”
