Bilingual Storytime — Deepening Engagement and Connection

Reading is not a solitary act; it’s a bridge that connects us.

Our goal is to foster Chinese Storytimes across the U.S., providing families with first-hand access to Chinese culture. We believe vibrant storytimes shouldn't be "airdropped" by outsiders; they must grow organically from within the community. The Forestry Project acts as a catalyst, providing the essential support to help these local initiatives take root and flourish.

The Four-Phase Support Process
  • Launch Support, From 0 to 1
Operational guides on venue selection, volunteer recruitment, and event flow to ensure a smooth first session.
  • Content Empowerment, Activity Design
Training in picture book reading techniques, craft design, and interactive games/songs.
  • Seed Funding, Resources
Provision of necessary supplies and startup capital to remove initial financial barriers.
  • Growth Mentorship, Sustainability:
Intensive support for the first 6 sessions including curated booklists, templates, and marketing materials to establish a rhythm.
